    I have visited the http://www.me-sportwaffen.de site, and found the following technical description:

    Is it correct, that the muzzle energy is under 7,5 J???

    Da wird wohl der ME_Meister was zu sagen müssen.
    Keine Ahnung was das für ein Ding ist ???
    Aber da ist ja auch die 08 schon auf der HP, ist die schon lieferbar? :n1:

    We've got a guy here called "ME-Meister" which works in the factory building these gun. I'll write him, and I think he can anwer it "offically".

    2. "<7,5J" heisst WENIGER als 7,5J. (hat mein Grundschullehrer damals jedenfalls gesagt... :confused2: )
    3. In der ersten Zeile wird ME-Meister bereits angesprochen, woraus ich folgere, dass Gabor VASS bereits weiss, dass es einen ME-Meister hier im Forum gibt.
    4. ME-Meister ist ein Mensch, also nicht "which", sonder "who". (nicht, dass er nachher noch beleidigt ist :lol: ) Die anderen Fehler sind sekundär. ;)

    "Gum-ball ammo" verschiessen die gummiegeschosse, und sind zur selbstverteidiegung gedacht? Da kann man aber mit 7.5 joule doch nciht allzuviel ausrichten, oder?

    the topic is very interesting for me, because in Hungary we already allowed to own (and carry loaded in your car) similar rubber-bullet guns.

    These are under 7,5 J, which means, that the 10 mm rubber ball (cca. 0,6 gramm) is flying out form the barrel with v0 150-160 m/s.

    For self-defence: it hits really painful from 2 meters.
    (I tried it on myself!)

    As far as I know only the Italians (Kimar) manufacture such guns under 7,5J, the other kinds (Ukrainian, Czech, French, Russian etc.) are more powerful.

    So the ME .380 Gum could be interesting on our market.

    hi gabor vass , thank`s for your interest . but in germany we have very strange laws . that means , that you need a licence for weppons over 7,5 joule and also for weappons who works with hot gases , like black powder . so , if you think the rubber-ball gun is free for persons who are older than 18 ( in germany ) , you are wrong .
    you have to go to the local government to recieve the permission to carry a gun .
    and this is something .................... :evil::evil:

    I know the german gun laws - I read them in original:-)).

    Therefore I know, that the 7,5 J+ guns require licence - same as in Hungary.

    The "hot gases" issue: the single shot muzzleloaders, and the non-modern ammo (Dreyse, Sharps) chambered rifles are also "frei ab 18" in _Germany_.

    And you don't need "bedurfnisprufung" for UNDER 7,5 J firearms, such as 4 mm M20-converted pistols.

    (I think the ME .380 GUM can be categorised here, too - if the E0 is really under 7,5J)

    BUT: your laws do not deter me collecting information about a new German product, which is potentially "free to sale" in my country.

    Wenn Dir der Sinn danach steht, in begrenztem Rahmen kann ich das auch:

    Meinst Du eigentlich strange (seltsam) oder strong (stark)?
    weppons = weapons

    recieve = receive
    easyer = easier
    to be for = eher to go for

    Damit wir uns nicht missverstehen:

    Crossbow hat genau das getan, was absolut richtig ist: REDEN oder SCHREIBEN. Es kommt nur darauf an, dass der/die Gegenüber einen verstehen, und vor allem, dass man sich traut. Ich hatte in letzter Zeit ab und zu Kontakt mit Franzosen und Engländern und hab dabei eins gelernt: Einfach Fremdsprache benutzen, der/die andere hinterfragt nur bei absoluten Missgriffen, ansonsten ist er/sie froh für die Bemühungen. Und dabei wird's dann immer positiv unterhaltsam. Mein "Problem" dabei: Ich hab Fremdsprachen nach der 10. Klasse abgewählt. Das bereue ich heute&acute;heftig. Sorry für eher offtopic.

    thanks for the answer.
    So, there are some other (technical) questions.
    - is the ammo the centerfire 9 mm Knall with longer brass?
    - does the ammo contains powder charge, or just the primer ejects the ball?
    - what is the weight of the bullet?
    - what technical solutions (subcaliber barrel or cylinder) do you use to exclude the possibilty to use metallic bullet?

    @ Me Meister : Was braucht man denn für einen Abschluß um bei ME zu arbeiten ! Ich sehe dass dein Englisch nicht gerade das beste ist !
