    Hi all,

Because I'm always looking for optimum accuracy I ordered in the USA (Benchmark Barrrels, Arlington) a .25 custombarrel which will specially be developed for JSB King pellets. I'm gonna put it on my Theoben Rapid MKII. I'm curious to know how it will perform.

    Barrel Specifications:
    - 28 inch long finished barrel length, the rough barrel may come in 29 – 30 inches.
    - Stainless Steel.
    - .750 finished outside diameter. **If you want your barrel turned down to fit a receiver Ron Sinema, of Benchmark, suggests having him do it prior to lapping the bore.**
    - Bore diameter = .248 inches
    - Groove diameter = .254
    - 1 in 17 inch twist
    - Cant land
    - Taper lapped **This is the Benchmark trademark technique that tightens the bore from breech to a tight muzzle** This is probably responsible for much of the accuracy observed by powder burning shooters and the USFT benchrest shooters.

It will not be easy but it should make bettter groups as this.

In june it must be here and then I'll write a review .

The loading probe is modified because of the following reason. By making the probe longer it will seat the pellet further in to the barrel. The JSB pellet (tested as the best for this combination) has a deep skirt that wil sit on the edge of the barrel and the block where the transferport and valve are housed. A longer probe will avoid that.

    Hi All,

Some of you asked me what the differences between the HW100 and the Lightstream HW are.

    The differences are:

    1. the barrel
this is replaced for a Lothar Walter polygon barrel in .22 600 mm long
just make a copy of the HW barrel bud make the edge on the back where the pellet enters the barrel 0.5 mm larger so the pellet can enter the barrel easier

    2. Fixing the barrel in the breech block
For this there are 2 extra grubscrew’s m4 drilled in to the breech , the location of these screw’s is on top trough the dove tale 10 and 20 mm in front of the center of the transfer port hole to clamp extra on the barrel

    3. Loading probe
This is made 2,4 mm longer by drilling a 2 mm hole in front of the tip and soldering a brass extension tip on it what fits in the hole and is as thick as the loadingprobe it self and has a 2mm side that centers it in the probe

    4. The barrelband
In the barrelband there are 4 grub screw’s these clamp the barrelband on to the cylinder
Fixing the barrelband to the cylinder this is done because the stock of the HW100 has the
intension to flex and by doing that the barrelband moves the barrel of its center
all so remove the o-ring that is in top of the barrelband so that the barrel becomes
    free floating

    5. The regulator
The regulator is turnt in to increase the pressure set it 0,25 mm deeper

    6. The restrictor
on the valve stem there is a small bras restrictor this is replaced by a one that is tapered
on one side so the air can flow easier trough the valve

After these modifications set the power of the HW100 to 965 fps (jsb exact 15.9 grn) this will give 20 shot by a 200 bar filling 965 fps is what works best for a polygon barrel in .22

Since we have seen many 100m matches and since we have studied to improve our equipment, At the moment there's only one at the top. It's the Lightstream HW100. It won the last 100m match.

    These are de modifications:

    1. the barrel
this is replaced for a Lothar Walter polygon barrel in .22 600 mm long
just make a copy of the HW barrel bud make the edge on the back where the pellet enters the barrel 0.5 mm larger so the pellet can enter the barrel easier

    3. Loading probe
This is made 2,4 mm longer by drilling a 2 mm hole in front of the tip and soldering a brass extension tip on it what fits in the hole and is as thick as the loadingprobe it self
And has a 2mm side that centers it in the probe

    5 The regulator

    Hi MatzexD,

In die Niederlande ist keinen kraft oder caliberlimiet.

Im 100m kampfe wurden die besten resultaten geschossen mit 24-50 Joule rifles in caliber 5,5mm (sometimes 6,35mm). The results of the match of today you can see here.

    Mit freundlichen Grusse,

    Hi shooters,

On march 13 there'll be another 100m match in the Netherlands. Participants are doing the last preparations on themselves and their material. We are expecting a very exiting match since experienced 100m targetshooters with AA S4/5 series, modified HW100's (polygonic barrels etc.), BSA R10s, Daystate Airwolfs, Theobens and other rifles will compete.

Here you can see results of matches that we organised before.

    A movie is here .

In the evening (CET) of march 13 the winners of the match and their material will be announced :) .

    Hi,

I see that you have questions about our 100m airgunning. On our 100m blog (http://100mairgun.nl/category/Wedstrijdresultaten.aspx you can find much info. That website has a translator on it :) .

On Youtube there are some films of our matches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRW1MeGzZN8

We have no restictions by law in power and caliber in die Niederlande. But we are not allowed to have fire arms look-alike airguns.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask them.

    I can read German ;) .

    Hello,

It's my first post on this forum. Because my English is better then my German I write this in English. I live in Rotterdam/ Niederlande, 38 years old and I'm a fanatic airgunshooter. My main interest is in shooting longer distances (100m). In die Niederlande our team organises matches on 100m. Hopefully we can learn from eachother :) .
