  • Polyester resin duplication test

I made the grip out of polyester resin.

    polyester resin shrinks a little.

However, it does not become unusable.

Duplication using resin is very difficult.

    Hairline polish.

The finish is like the corners of a buffalo.

I made a crossbone skull out of silver clay and used it for the medallion.

Hex wrench is cut and embedded.

The screw has been changed to a hexagonal screw.

  • May be good work. But.....

No matter how difficult ist is to built these grips.

For my opinion it does not match to a western revolver.

  • Nice work, especially the finish. But the skull is not a very common symbol for decoration in the Wild West...but that is your choice and its ok. The Inbus-screw looks far to modern for me.

  • The reason why I am attracted to the skull motif is probably the influence of the Japanese anime comic "Captain Herlock".

I liked the "Cosmo Dragoon" that appears in the play. ;)

  • For sure we are not a reenactment group and historical correctnes is not our highest aim. I like the cross-over aspects in your work!
