Obvioulsy I have to agree with pandur. The fact is, that in Germany most peoply are feared of weapons. Mainly guns but knifes too. So a one-hand safety knife (which is used in case of accident for cutting the seatbelt) has been used from a politician to prohibit one-hand pocket-knifes with locked blade (interpreted as dangerous killer tools cause of lack of knowledge and publicity)...so I think it's more than difficult to gain acceptance for these kind of guns - though they might be a good possibility for self defense.
But without trying out we'll never know.
25 years ago no one in East Berlin could imagine the world without the Wall.
In 1944 no one could imagine in Germany, that 25 years later israeli maschninenpistole will be issued in the German Army.
So, never say never in the politics. Especially in Germany:-))

And in German gun laws there are also positive changes: like the fall of Anscheinparagraph. Today the Visier and DWJ is full off serious-looking civilian semiauto rifles.
