    Hi all!

Sorry for not writing in german (I am from Sweden). This might be of interest; I have collected the sales prices for old match air rifles (spring), for four years on egun. Totally some 3500. Might be of interest if you are interested in a gun, want to know the market price or just for knowledge.

You can download the file (as an Excel file, about 200k) on this link; http://www.mediafire.com/?rez21c022rmmn

The file (link) is updated weekly with new sold guns. The file is in german, and don't miss the two graphics tabs.

Best regards from a cooold Sweden!

    / Micke

    Einige Infos über die Statistik:

    1. Nur vollständige Waffen sind enthalten.

    Some info about the statistics:

    1. Only complete guns are included.
    2. If facts are known which can, or will affect the price, that's "comments". Like "Mit Tasche", "Defekt", "Links", "Junior", "Universal"...and lots more.
    3. Condition is not in - it's too subjective.
    4. The underlined prices are links to the auction at egun.
    5. The data is only collected from "Matchwaffen"-section at egun.
    6. A few guns are "zeroed". These are rare FWB models, not representative (price more than 500 Euro). The prices are there but as text.
    7. The file is updated weekly at the same link (see above). Feel free to download it as you want and need.

    @ Four point five

Well, you can fix the Dianas with Giss system. It is more difficult, but fully possible. I recall we discussed this some time ago... I wrote a manual how to do it, it's i swedish (sorry), but perhaps it's useful anyway, or someone can translate it :^) . I will replace the "tool" from the original manual for compressing the springs, with the one you can find in the Diana 60 manual next time I repair a D75. Texts that will be changed are marked yellow. This is the link (Word-file): http://www.mediafire.com/?zdy53nnlz32

Correct. Geb/Gewehr = Average number of bids, for the type of gun. You can say that it measures the "general interest".
Standard deviation is just a value describing how much the price varies around the average price.
The Relative standard deviation is the standard deviation x 100 / average price. This value is more accurate than the standard deviation when you compare guns of different values. E.g. you can compare the relative standard deviation for Diana 100 and Anschutz 220 even though the the price levels are different. (Like a Skoda with a Lamborghini).
The median is better than the average (Durchschnitt), when there are different models. FWB 300 have different models and then the median is more representative for a typical FWB300S than the average. It "cuts away" the extreme prices for rare models.

Well, I started to monitor egun 2008 to check out if it was possible to make any real "bargins". But no, egun is full of "profis" and the prices are market prices. Then I just continued to collect data and have been doing since then.

I have some other stuff that might be of interest to you guys down in Germany, I made some manuals, and this is one for how to fix a D60 in english (sorry): http://www.mediafire.com/?onpy98l6i6zylp1 (file format is MSWord).
But perhaps someone find it useful. The Giss systems are rather complex...
Or perhaps this spreadsheet with the production years of different Diana models: http://www.mediafire.com/?5aoglb5p5emqvs4

http://www.mediafire.com/?5aoglb5p5emqvs4If you want to comment or reply in German, no problems, I understand and read German but prefer not to write German...

Sorry for not writing in German. I am swedish, and I know some german but not enough for writing here.

The link is to an Excel-file I have, and it is guaranteed free from viruses and stuff (and from a Mac). I update the file every week with new data from egun.

The file is data for 3000 sales of old match rifles on egun from april 2008. It is most likely the most comprehensive data of sold airguns/prices in the world.

    Hope you find it useful!

Best regards from a cold Sweden!

I started to collect this data a few years ago, and some just some comments:

There are always a number of factors affecting the prices. Here are some:

    - No buyers outside Germany accepted, or international buyers accepted.
    - With accessories, box/carrying bag, gloves, manual, and lots more.
    - Condition, which is very subjective.
    - Defekt.
    - Vereinswaffe
    - With ZF, bipod, painted...
    - A few extreme guns are omitted (but the sales prices are there as text)
    ...

There are lots. I have only made remarks when there are factors that I know will affect the price, and you will find these remarks as "comments", which is indicated by a small red triangle in the table.
And there is no way to omit sellers that bought their own gun back under another identity. Sellers that asked a price, but did not sell at that price are not included.

But on the other hand - we are dealing with more that 1500 FWB300 guns and I don't think you will find more complete price statistics ww for these guns, and there are some 1000 other guns in it as well.

The file is updated weekly (sometimes more often), and what do you get for nothing? So feel free to download it whenever you want or need.

    Hallo 4.5 and thanks!

I didn't know there was an original manual for Diana 60. The pictures are really detailed!

I have a problem with the original manuals (Diana 60, 65, 66 and 75), for these guns. The tool (Abb. 3b), does not work for two reasons:

    1. It is practically impossible to compress the springs and at the same time get the cog wheels on the sides in the correct position. If you have someone to help pushing the tool in, it can be done but is still difficult.
    2. It is a risk that the springs will curve and be damaged when you use the tool and compress the springs. This because the the 3.5mm rod is fixed in the tool.

That's why I designed my own spring compressor, it works fine and you can see pictures of it in the manual I wrote.

    Hello down in Germany!

I have translated my swedish manual for how to repair Diana model 60 to english. You will find it on this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?onpy98l6i6zylp1

    The format is Word 2007.

The manual will work for Diana 65 and 66 too. As you may know, the double piston system by Giss, is quite tricky to disassemble/assemble.
As far as I know, there are no other manuals for how to fix them, and to send them to Diana for new gaskets and springs will cost a lot.

This means that a lot of these quality guns are either stored "somewhere" or thrown away when the old cork gaskets are worn out.

Hope you like it and find it useful. Any comments are welcome, also in german! (I read german without problems)

Sorry for not writing in german, but I am from Sweden and my english is better than my german...

    M.f.G.

    / Micke

    Genau! Meine meinung auch.

Due to the fact that we are dealing with three springs and a much shorter pressure cylinder, together with cogwheels and a really complex gun, this is no easy job. You have to work systematically, mark everything, and think.
At first I thought that I could just translate the original Diana manual. I tried, but I gave up. Like I said, there are so many things missing and there are some errors in it in general. That's why I wrote my own manual...well, it's become quite popular both in Sweden and now down in Germany. (I can tell from the number of downloads...)

If I translate it to English, perhaps someone can translate it to German...all for the good cause?

    M.f.G.

    / Micke

    Hallo Klaus,

There are some problems with the original manual for how to fix a Diana 75.

First some parts are fractional and don't tell you in detail how to do. We are dealing with 200 parts here....you have to be very systematic and mark all components in plastic bags.
Second; the tool described for compressing the springs are practically useless. It is no way you can both compress the springs, hold the tool under pressure, and at the same time insert the cogwheels. I constructed at spring compressor for Diana 60 that works (see Diana 60 Manual)
Third; in one part they have forgotten a small spring washer locking an axis i place. This washer is very hard to see, and if you try to remove the axis with force, you may damage the whole gun.

On egun, I have seen many Diana 60-75, either sold cheap since the original cork gaskets are "no more" (no pressure), or as "defekt" with broken cogwheels when someone has tried to fix them.
I just hate that these fine guns are thrown away, either because they are to expensive to repair, or no-one can or is missing instructions. That's why I wrote it....

    About the Match L-model:

I remember it did not look like the "LS" with the thumbhole, but more like a Universal with a ZF. It didn't look special to me, but the guy that sold it stated that it was a "Match L" in the original box and in very good condition. The price went up to 503 Euros and there were 108 bids. This is about double the price a "normal" Universal with ZF would cost.
So I assumed it was a rare and special model.

I will check and if I find new information I'll come back.

    / Micke

Add: I started to translate the manual for how to change gaskets and springs in a Diana 60 to English. I might be finished in a week or two. I hate to see these fine guns being thrown away since they are so hard (and expensive), to fix. Perhaps someone here can translate to German later...

Add2: I found this text about the Match-L model:

    Hello Markus!

There are a number of FWB300-models. FWB300, FWB300S, FWB300S Junior, FWB300 Universal. But also some rare and expensive models for "Field Target", if I remember correct, this model is called "LS", and another rare model called "Match L".

All of these models are in the column for "FWB300S". For each gun, when it is not a typical"FWB300S", you will find a small red triangle indicating that there is a comment, and then something stated like "Junior", "Not S" (for the older model), or "Universal". I have also used this field to indicate things that may affect the price like "Defekt", "Mit Tasche" or something of relevance.
My general impression is that the FWB300, is roughly 20-30 Euro cheaper, the Junior 10-20 Euro cheaper, and the Universal is 30-40 Euro more expensive, when compared to the "standard" FWB300S.

In three cells I have excluded the numbers from the calculations (but the numbers are there as text). This was for the rare LS-models and the Match L, which were sold for 500-1200 Euro. I did not find them representative for FWB300S in general, and they would have messed up the graphic.

By the way - I read German without problems, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. :)

Sorry, I forgot the link to the manual for Diana mod. 75.

Also in swedish, but hopefully useful for someone. This is the link; http://www.mediafire.com/?zdy53nnlz32

    File format is Word.
Things marked yellow will be changed in next version - mainly replacement of the original spring compressor.

If you use it, use a slightly modified version of the spring compressor which is described in the manual for Diana 60.
