Maybe it is a bit of offtopic, but this article is quite interesting

As I understood from the posts you have .357 magnum revolver - I have read somewhere, that there are plastic bullet training cartridges, maybe you can use them like traumatic.
I would gladly have a traumatic pistol, but: in Lithuania according to law they are equal with combat guns; it is possible to buy licenced pistol/revolver only in Gun fund (not in shops) and fund doesnt have traumatic weapons.
By the way, people in Russian forum guns.ru think, that 120 mg Umarex PV cartridge is more effective than Izh 79 9t, mp 79, wasp, streamer and so on. Not OCA of coursePeople in Lithuania quite often carry 6 mm Flobert weapons with 7,5 J energy. But thats quite poor gun for self defence (even if it penetrates about 300-400 pages of the phone book from 2-3 meters).

9 mm pak version for rubber bullet ammo was in our gunshops (Makarych or Izh 79 9T) as a gas gun (without licence) and was more expensive than real Makarov. I guess bigger part of Makarych examples were bought by criminal elements, since it is impossible to find legal ammunition for this pistol in Lithuania.
People, who have licences for combat pistols/revolvers have negative opinion about these rubber bullet guns - barrels of these pistols tend to brake very often because of barriers inside, they have low stopping energy (about 36 -50 (70) J).

Since this topic is about gas gun from steel, i wanted to ask Gabor Vass is it possible to remake (if the laws allow it) Izh 79 8 from 8 mm to 9pa caliber
-
That guy in video used wadie cartridges.
-
One guy tried to shoot gas pistol (beretta copy), 6 mm flobert and real glock in cold. Glock was shooting without any problems, flobert misfired only one shot and gas pistol didnt shoot at all.
-
1. How gas pistols are working when it is cold (about -10 Celsius)?
2. One guy in Lithuanian gun forum asked why his umarex p99 jams:

I thought it is Blow Crazy model
-
Sad, we cannot have it in Lithuania...
In Latvia people can have this machine, because gas weapons legally are not weapons -
-
Ok, thank you for the information.
Are there some things you can use for self-defence - for example gas sprays, stun guns or there is no need for such things in Sweden? -

European Union institutions will tighten gun control - blank (it means gas pistols too, i guess) firing pistols will be classified as firearms (in Lithuania gas pistols are classified as firearms, but they dont need combat pistols licence).
Correct me if i am wrong, i didn find the original directive text -

Nein, but you have to have license.Hello Daniel, I am interested in gun laws in the world. What are the reasons in your country to have a firearm? For example in my country, Lithuania people can get weapons for self-defence, sport, hunting, private security etc.

I usually carry one of these:
Walther Pro Secur - can spray up to five meters, very valued by private security in Lithuania
Izh 79 8 gas pistol, legal in Lithuania, without PTB, made in Russia.Blow Class, gas pistol, legal in Lithuania, without PTB, made in Turkey.

Maybe Gabor Vass could tell something about these
-
There are new gas pistols in Lithuania - Norica. Maybe anybody heard anything about these and their quality?
-
Revolver cartridge fits in 9 pa pistol chamber (i dont know if you can shoot it that way), but it stucks in pistol clip and it is very hard to take the cartridge out.

Reck Pobeda does not look like real Makarov. Russian gas pistols derived from Makarov also are not similar with real combat pistol, only the early models (some of them were made from real makarov parts).
This is real Makarov
